Recently, there have been more reports of new ways of crypto fraud. Social media and chat users warn of a new threat: scammers offer “jobs” in cryptocurrency arbitrage
How it works?
The scammer introduces himself as a member of a team of analysts who monitor spreads on various cryptocurrency exchanges. He invites you to join the team and conduct arbitrage transactions. You are promised that nothing will be required of you, except for the execution of trades on signals.
What happens next?
After the initial communication, the scammer offers to call to discuss the details. During the conversation, he recommends turning on screen sharing and starts talking about the necessary settings. Ultimately, you are asked to sync your Trust Wallet and Exodus wallets.
Moment of truth
In the process of synchronizing wallets, a QR code appears, which instantly disappears. It is at this moment that the scammers synchronize your wallet with their own and instantly withdraw all funds.
Be on the lookout!
This scam method is especially dangerous for those who do not have experience with cryptocurrency wallets. MINE.exchange warns: do not trust strangers on the Internet and always double-check information.
